Front Porch Mercantile

Identity Design

Wendy Batten of Front Porch Mercantile needed a logo and identity for her up-cycling shop. She loved the retro look and wanted a logo that  also evoked the charm and warmth of the pieces she creates. Her store is a casual but creative workshop and retail location that offers an assortment of beautiful hand painted furniture, unique decor items and specialty Canadian made paint products and accessories.

Her logo needed to be very flexible – simple enough for signage, stitching, and stamping (as would any logo!) Wendy had a great idea to use a stamp for price tags, which works so well for her store; it is cost effective and feels retro/hand-made. I had fun designing her business cards, which were printed at JukeBoxPrint.com and even featured on their website! Coolio!

We also created retro style receipts.

I had an amazing experience designing a set of postage stamps for Canada Post! The stamps feature Tim Zeltner's beautiful, magical, folk art style illustrations. The project also included the design of a souvenir sheet, booklets and an official First Day Cover. Check it out »
